Finally...

So, here is a picture of my hair cut that I promised my friend Amy. It is already long again. But I am liking it. Very easy to do. I was having a fun time trying to take the pictures. I put the camera on the kitchen counter so I'm not even looking into the lense. Funny.

Here are a few pics of recent life. The first few of the kids were while we in Palm Spring's.
Judah just could not stay awake any longer. He leadned over and just fell asleep.

Lilly loves to swim. But only with the floaties. She had so much fun.

Judah is on his way to go "minnin", or more populary refered to as swimin'.

This is my sweet Lilly who made her first playdough birthday cake. She was very proud as you can tell. There were lots of candles.

So I finally got that fancy little thumb drive so that I can put pics on. We do not have the cable for our camera so that is why it has taken so long. But, alas here are some. Now I just need to remember to actually take pics of "life".

Lilly and Judah had a great time at Awana's again this week. Lilly now has her vest which she had been talking and asking about all last week. "When I say my verses Mommy I can get my vest", "when I get my vest mommy" etc, etc, etc. I am so glad that she is excited about learning verses and going to Cubbie's.
We are starting to get back in the rountine of home again after being out of town. The kids are happy to be back home and we are looking at each day with thier energy. Some day I hope to catch up!:)
Well I'm off to get as much done today as I can. My list is getting longer, but Shad will be my help today as he has his day off.

Refuel

We had an awesome time with our Youth Staff at our first annuel retreat. Such a great time to connect away from "regular" life and focus on the kids and the ministry as we share together in reaching and growing kids for Christ. I was so blessed to see their desire and dedication. Thank you guys for all you do and the blessing you are to the kids and to me.
Shad and I have stayed on in Palm Springs and his parents are bringing up our kids tonight and we are all staying for a few more days. Kind of a little vacation. It has been nice having a few hours alone with Shad and we are both looking forward to seeing the kids.
Have a great day everyone!

"Go out Daddy" "Chill"

So tonight was the first night of Awana! Lilly is a Cubbie and Judah is a Puggle. So cute. As it is now 9 pm and the kids are in bed I did not get a chance to talk much out of her about her evening. I am anxious to look over the info. She is growing up to fast...upon seeing her Dad in the back of the room while the lesson was being taught she turned and whispered loudly, "go out Daddy!". Only three and already having a complex about her Dad. What is it going to be like when she is a teenager.
We enjoyed a break from the extreme heat today and the evening is finally cool. Monday was over a hundred at our house. We got to spend the afternoon up in the mountains where it was only 95 degrees. It was much nicer than 115! It felt like you were walking into a clothes dryer. I hung out clothes and they were dry in like a half hour!
Anyway, enough about the weather....I am needing to "chill". Getting a little "over-done" as I was baking impatience today. I was reminded of the verse in Philippians 4:6-7 "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." My list of anxious things mounts when I let one thing, or feeling that is negative have its way. "...let your requests be made known to God". I don't think I came to that point until the day was ended. And now I am hungry for His peace and I could have been in His peace earlier if I had only stopped and made my requests known to Him. So now I will make my requests known to Him and rest in the safety of His peace on my heart and in my mind.
